I do like the idea of running on tired legs -- I'm working up to training with back-to-back long runs.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05538884619777387595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791692547710240011.post-30348401259595140612012-04-25T21:23:42.181-07:002012-04-25T21:23:42.181-07:00Thanks Slomohusky. I totally understand the hard time sleeping and emotional aspect; ultra running literally changes your hormonal balance so that can affect sleep and mood. :)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08503888357503748625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791692547710240011.post-18499021718455553252012-04-19T06:57:18.577-07:002012-04-19T06:57:18.577-07:00You are amazing to run like that so soon after the...You are amazing to run like that so soon after the race. Having said that I believe in no more than two days rest after a big race and hit the road or trails on day 3 again. I see this as recovery but also training for the really long runs of 50 or more miles (80k and up). Running on tired legs is an ultra runner's friend. :) I never feel down or emotional after races. Maybe it is because I'm already thinking about the next big challenge. Rest well Lauren!Johannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17588120934444485158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791692547710240011.post-88429030488145392152012-04-18T22:15:39.690-07:002012-04-18T22:15:39.690-07:00amazing you are hitting the trails again so soon! ...amazing you are hitting the trails again so soon! keep kickin'!!Generation X (Slomohusky)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16074437755665432964noreply@blogger.com
