Run for Fun

I don’t usually run two days in a row.  But after Tuesday’s hellish speed work, I decided I needed to do a “real” run.  So I went out to my favorite canyon, which my husband says they’re going to name after me (ha, ha) and ran up Cholla Trail without any trouble at all.  In fact, the entire run up to Top of the World seemed easier than usual.  I even seemed to run at a faster pace (forgot Garmin).  Can that be true?  Can speed work help after only one day???

Miles logged:  7.51

Here’s a bit from my run, The Featured Trail of the Day:  Car Wreck Trail

  4. Like the tunes!! :) That looks like a place I need to check out. Beautiful!! That trail is aptly named! When I saw the car I was like whaaat? How did that happen? Ha :D

For selfish reasons I hope you keep posting about your speed work experiences.. Usually I just run and don't really think about speed but lately I have been wanting to get faster..so it would be helpful to see how it goes for you.

It seems like it sucked @ the time - good idea to run a favorite trail the next day. Loved the video!

  6. Hi Kate, I definately plan to post my speed training (even though I hated it, I am dedicated to once a week for now).

I'm glad you liked the video. I really like that trail. I don't know how that car got there though, I've googled it with no answers. Apparently it's been there for years and years.

  7. Stuart definately head south if you ever get the chance. Our coastal hills aren't quite like yours, but there are more miles than you can ever want to mix it up.
