TALES FROM THE TRAIL (AND SOMETIMES THE ROAD TOO)

Comment

ID-10078994I love, love, love readers who comment on my posts.  That’s not to say I don’t love all readers.  But I REALLY love the comments.  I can tell web-surfers visit my page, and some spend many minutes, enough to read something that I’ve written, which is a big treat for me.  Even “invisible” readers delight me to no end.

Why do I like comments?  Because I like knowing who you are.  Stats don’t tell me that.  They just tell me what part of the world you’re in, how long you stopped by, and how you got here.

SO, in an effort to get some comments, please tell me something.  Do you run?  If not, why do you find my blog worth reading?  If so, do you have a long run, how many miles is it?  And is it on the road or the trail?

Thanks for reading!!!

    1. Thanks for commenting Alma. It is different than urban runs. I'm sure urban runs can be just as beautiful. Thanks again for reading!!

  2. I love your blog and try not to miss a post but life doesn't always work that way. I can relate to your posts and always find some connection when I read them. You are one of my best friends and I really wish we will meet one day. I think you know me quite well by now :) Thanks for your posts! Keep it going Lauren!

    1. It's so funny Johann that we relate so much, yet we are in different parts of the world. I really appreciate your motivation, and your friendship. I hope we can meet. I suspect you will probably make it to the U.S. before I make it to S.A. However, there are lots of races I would love to join in your country that I've read about on your blog!

  3. I read every single post, but most of them from my phone and it's a pita to comment. Plus, I seem to always say the same thing... "Holy crap, you're badass, that trail is beautiful, someday I will trail run ;)"

  4. I read every single post too. Your blog is so open and honest. I can feel your pain and delight in your triumph. I've read a lot of blogs but yours is the only one I read regularly. I think we have a similar spirit and we definitely have a shared love of the Southern California mountains. They call to me. :)

    Thanks again for the blog!

    1. Thanks so much Scott. That is a great compliment. I do love the Southern California mountains. Funny how as a young girl, the only thing I really wanted in life was to live at the beach. Now I spend as much time as I can driving to the mountains. Thanks again for reading!

  5. Phew! Sounds like I'm not the only stalker...errr...fan out there. To answer your questions, yes I run and yes I have a long run. It varies from 5 to 31 miles and can be on the road or the trail. Why do I keep comping back? At first, it was the pictures. All that trail porn kept me coming back time and time again. But now I stick around for the articles. Maybe I'm maturing or something.

Oh, and I'm a bit snarky and sarcastic. In case you couldn't figure that out already. And if you, or anybody else, needs to know more about me, just check out my blog.

  6. Love the blog, and read all of the posts! It's very motivating for an avid trail runner like me. We share an interest in connecting trails together like you've done with your triple park runs and your sea to summit plans. I've actually been trying to find a way to do that from my house in San Clemente. I love learning about new routes /trails from you. Thanks for letting us in on the awesomeness!

    1. Adam, I'm so surprised we haven't passed on the trails. Thanks so much for reading, and your comment. I hope to get back to trail exploring after this Twin Peaks thing. LOL. I really love discovering new connections on the trails.

  7. I try to read every post but, like another person commented, I do not comment on each one because my comments would be the same. I am very serious about wanting to join you on one of your long, mountain treks as I need some motivation get out the door for long runs lately.

    1. Thanks Rachel. You are a super tough runner. I witnessed that at Nanny Goat. I do my long runs usually on Saturdays. E-mail me if you have lots and lots of hours to fit in one of those adventurous runs. I'm also doing some mountain runs during the week if you can get out. Let me know. Thanks again for your comment and for reading!

  8. Hey Lauren! Sorry I've been a bad blog friend lately and haven't been commenting. I love reading your trail journeys though! You make trail running seem so much more accessible than what I think and maybe some day I'll get around to trying it out. I don't think the 1/2 mile jaunt I did on a single track bike trail during the middle of my run on Monday counts as trail running.

    1. That half mile jaunt definitely counts Whitney. Trail running is very accessible. I'm sure you can do it. You're a tough lady too. Thanks Again for reading!

  10. I love comments too! It lets me know that people are reading, plus blogging (reading and writing) is a hobby of mine, so I like to return the favor sometimes and read the commentors blog! I try to comment on every blog I read - sometimes not every post though. This summer Ive been enjoying our "time off" and not really doing a whole lot so Im catching up, but do know that I read your blog and love it!
